Thursday in Ebonyi, the business men and women at the plot five in Margret Umahi International market produced a new leadership to pilot their affairs following the alleged dismantle of unidentified leaders among them.
The election conducted by the Special Assistant to the state Governor on the market plot five, Rev. Dr. Mrs. Nwakaego Nworie.
Mrs. Nworie charged the new officials and other traders under her watch to be law abiding and to strictly comply to the COVID-19 precautionary measures.
She advised all the traders to be focused on their businesses making sure that they do not take government directives for granted and to cooperate with one another while trading in the market.
She extolled the governor of the state, Engr. David Nweze Umahi for his development strides, saying his administration has given Ebonyi an international outlook with the market given as an example.
NATIONAL PANEL gathered that those elected include Nnachi Okwu Ogbonnaya - Chairman, Akumah Juachi - Vice Chairman, Ezinne John - Secretary, Nwoko Okechukwu - Treasurer and Umoke Emmanuel - Financial Secretary.
Others are Nwafor Mercy - Public Relations Officers, Hon. Godwin - Head of Taskforce and Obed Ukamaka.
The officials through their Chairman pledged commitment and dedication to duties to ensure the plot records orderliness as directed by the state government.
