Cross River North: Odey receives PDP flag for senatorial bye-election



It was a funfair and home coming for all political bigwigs of Cross River State, as the indomitable candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief. Barr Stephen Odey, was today handed the party's flag as the standard flag bearer for the forthcoming Cross River North Senatorial By-election fixed for October 31, 2020 election. 


The event which held at Okpoma, the Yala Local Government Area headquarters, witnessed  massive presences of high profile government functionaries and supporters.


The occasion which was well attended, had in attendance, the  Executive Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Sir. Prof Ben Ayade ably represented by the Deputy Governor, His Execellency, Prof. Ivara Esu, National Assembly member, Rt Hon Legor Idagbor, leadership and members of the Cross River State House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Rt Hon Etim Jones, Secretary to the State Government, Chief. Mrs.Tina Agbor, Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor, Chief Martins Orim, local government chairmen, Honourable Commissioners, state and local government political appointees, state and local government party executives, ward executives, party faithful and support groups amongst others.


The Cross River North PDP senatorial candidate, Dr Odey in his vote of thanks, pledged his total loyalty to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Sir Prof. Ben Ayade, and also reiterated that he subscribes to the vision of His Excellency, whilst he thanked everyone for the massive and unwavering support. He promised not to let the good people of Cross River North down when elected as senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.


In all, the testimonies of his laudable achievements over the years were audible enough, PDP remains the party and the candidate is Chief. Barr Stephen Odey PhD.
