Sokoto Basin: New Board Chairman familarizes, dines with members

The newly appointed Board Chairman, Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority, SRRBDA, Alhaji Hassan Ahmad Danbaba (the Magajin of Sokoto),today, dined and wined with the Board members at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.

The Sokoto Board members whom their immediate past Chairman,  Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu was elevated into the position of the State Minister, Federal Capital Territory by President Muhammad Buhari were on Thursday in euphoria of joy while celebrating with their new Chairman.

The Board members described their new Chairman as a pragmatic democrat and the political giant of Sokoto politics.

The get-together ceremony which was tagged a familiarization, inaugural and congratulatory meeting was under the sponsorship of the new Chairman.

One of the Board member that spoke on behalf of the members, Sir Hon. Godwin Bazari described Alhaji Danbaba as a man with a vast experience in the river basin and stated that, his appointment as the Chairman of the Board will help to transform SRRBDA into a productive use.

The Board members thanked President Buhari for appointing Danbaba, and expressed readiness to work harmoniously for the development of the river basin. 

Meanwhile, the new Chairman has appreciated the Board members for coming from different states to honor his invitation for their familarity and to brainstorm ways to work for the betterment of the authority, asking for their continuous cooperation to bring rapid development in the river basin.
