APC National Leader and Former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has countered the report alleging he travelled out of the country following the end protest which adversely affected him.
“I didn’t go nowhere. I still hold the title of Asiwaju of Lagos and I am still the Jagaban of Lagos,” Tinubu said this in interview with newsmen.
It could be reclled that in social media, several reports of his jetting out to Paris, France while some alleged that he was in London after the Tuesday’s incident.
But the APC National Leader had condemned the incident at Lekki in a live interview on Channels Television, and claimed that he had no hand in the incident.
He also clarified that he was not the owner of the Lekki Concession Company (LCC), the firm collecting toll at Lekki-Epe expressway toll gate and Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge which have been burnt down in the aftermath of the shooting.
Also, during his visit to Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos State Governor, Tinubu described the various insinuations as a falsehood.
“Well whatever they think, fake news is all over the place. They said Seyi my son was kidnapped. He is here, look at him,” he said.
Tinubu who looked unruffled during the visit to Sanwo-Olu at the state House, Marina has been a target of attacks on widespread arsons in recently reported in the state.
The headquarters of the Television Continental (TVC) and the Nation Newspapers were burnt down by armed hoodlums in what appeared to be coordinated attacks on his business interests.
