I, on behalf of my family, the office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Vocational education and the entire staff of the foremost King David Scholars County, I heartily congratulate Your Excellency, Chief Engr. David Nweze Umahi, the industrious Governor of our dear State, on your recent decampment from Peoples' Democratic Party(PDP) to the ruling All Progressive Congress(APC).
The decampment to say the obvious is a show of courage, and unwavering determination at ensuring equity in the power equation in the Nigeria politics.
It is also an exemplification of your immense love and patriotism for Ndigbo.
Ever since you assumed office as the Chairman South East Governor's forum you have continued to show resilience and rare leadership disposition.
Your character in leadership is selfless as you are after the welfare of the people against all odds.
Your Excellency Sir, you remain a father in politics to me. You have never failed your people as evident in your people oriented programmes and policies.
You were a successful businessman and an astute engineer before venturing into politics, one would not mistaken your foresight and love for Ndi Igbo as desperation because after your reign you can comfortably go back to your private business which is admirable.
In the light of the foregoing, I hereby reaffirm my total support towards your decision.
Your defection to the APC is a step towards regaining what we have lost in the past years as NDI IGBO in National politics and we cannot afford to continue loosing.
Your Excellency, your actions are well-thought-out and in tandem with the expectations of every right thinking Igbo man.
