The Caretaker Committee of All Progressives Congress, APC in Ebonyi State is still intact and operational as all dissolved executives are now retained as the caretakers of the party, NATIONAL PANEL reports.
This is arising from the resolution of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which stated that, all Party Executives at National, Zonal, State, Local Government and Ward have been dissolved.
NEC has however, reassigned all outgoing Executives into same position as the Caretaker Party Executives from now till June 30, 2021.
Mr. Ogbuatu Chidi Simbad, the APC Caretaker Publicity Secretary of Ebonyi State made the disclosure in a press statement on Wednesday.
The statement read in parts: "this Caretaker arrangement retains State Chairmen, all State Party Executives, Local Government Excos, All Ward Party Chairmen and Ward Executives in their known positions.
"The Caretaker Executives maintain their positions. All functions and powers of the office remain exactly the same as spelt out by NEC and the Party Constitution.
"This clarification became necessary to address the growing concerns of our teeming Party members within and outside Ebonyi State who wishes to find out if the newly inaugurated Caretaker Executives of APC in the state have been relieved of their positions.
"As it concerns Ebonyi State, our Party project is focused on stabilizing Ebonyi State that recently joined our party as they have shown extra-ordinary commitment in converting all Ebonyi electorates and South East leaders to embrace and join our Party. Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha led Caretaker Committee were not part of the dissolved official as they were recently inaugurated as caretaker executives.
"Our party faithfuls are by this clarification enjoined to remain steadfast and committed to building a formidable party that will take over the state, south east and the entire country come 2023.
"They are encouraged to take advantage of the party membership registration coming up soon to register with the party that has shown commitment in moving the nation to the next level."
