Governor David Umahi has appreciated God who gave a unique opportunity for transformation and development in all sectors of the state.
Umahi represented by his Deputy Governor, Kelechi Igwe, acknowledged the revolution and growths experienced in the state, despite economic challenges, facing the government .
The governor made the remark on Wednesday in Abakaliki, during an annual celebration of 2020, Christmas Carol.
The event was organised by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ebonyi chapter in collaboration with the state government.
"We are grateful as a state and individuals to God for all fulfillments made and development witnessed in the state," Umahi said.
He however commended the CAN members and other clergy's supports in upliftment of the state.
Meanwhile, the Clergy and State Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Ebonyi chapter, Abraham Nwali sought for continued support of the present administration led by Governor David Umahi for more development.
According to him, Christmas is a season of charity taken to enhance giving and showed appreciation to God for impact made so far in the state.
He also encouraged people to be promoters of peace for developments and better society.
"We will continue to support the present administration with prayers to make more impacts in the society.
"Christmas is a time of charity,love, giving and above all, we should be promoters of peace," Nwali advised.
