Wife of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mrs. Aisha Buhari has consoled with the family of the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Power, Chief Chinyeaka Christian Ohaa over the death of his Mother.
She commiserated with the family on Friday during the funeral service of the late Ezinne Janneth Ohaa at her country home, Amangwu, Obuoffia, Akukananwu in Enugu West local government area of Enugu State.
The wife of President who was represented at event by the Wife of the Chairman, South East Governors Forum and the Governor of Ebonyi State, Mrs Rachel Ogonna Umahi welcomed everyone who attended the burial and thanked God for their journey Mercies. She said though late Janet died when her life needed most by her children and others, but however, stated that no one could blame God over her demise.
She described her as quintessential mother who has imparted positively to many lives before she joined her ancestors and prayed God to grant her soul internal rest.
According to her condolence message, "I bring you warm greetings from Her Excellency, Hadijia Aisha Buhari, Wife of the president of Nigeria. She has asked me to send her sincere condolences to the family of Christain Ohaa, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Power.
"Our gathering here is of mixed feelings. Firstly, to celebrate a woman who achieved so much in her lifetime and bonded herself with the things of God. Secondly, that we would be missing a virtuous woman.
"The fact that our dear, Ezinne Janet Nwachi Ohaa produced and groomed responsible children like Mr. Christian Ohaa, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Power shows that she was a committed Mother and a woman under grace. I thanked the multitude of people who have, continued to identify with this family since her death, it is a testimony of her large heartedness and respect to humanity."
She further said that death is a debt every living soul must pay, but most importantly the way you lived your life determined where you will find yourself when you died.
However, she admonished the bereaved family not to mourn hopelessly but beckon in the Lord as he is the only one that would give hope to the family while urging them to uphold the legacies left by the late Mother for their own interest.
Earlier, the officiating Minister, the Most Reverend Emmanuel Chukwuma, the Arc Bishop of Enugu Province and Bishop of Enugu Diocese in his funeral oration thanked all and sundry who graced the ceremony describing death as a thief.
He described late Janet Ohaa as a philanthropist, role model and virtuous woman who has differentiated herself among her contemporaries saying that people should not allow their hands to bring troubles to them but always be cautious of all things the are doing as they would one day account for their stewardship.
The cleric advised people to be empathetic to their follow human beings at all times stating that Nigeria as a country has been overshadowed by diseases, kidnappings, killings, rapping, among others adding that God would not allow selfish politicians to gain political power come 2023 and stressed the need for leaders to rise up to their responsibilities to forestall the ugly menace in the country.
In his tribute, the son of the late Janet, Chief Christian Ohaa said the mother lived a fulfilled and exemplary life worthy of emulation.
He appreciated all the distinguished personalities who contributed in one way or the other for the success of the burial and prayed God to reward them abundantly.
The burial drew the presence of the former Senate President Senator Ken Nnamani and his counterpart Anyim Pius Anyim, Governor of Enugu State Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Minister of State for Education Mr Emeka Nwajuba among other personalities across the geopolitical Zones of the country.
Highlights of the event, were cultural troops, tributes from good spirited individuals, Enugu state government, Federal Ministries and others.
