Ebonyi Philanthropist pays tuition fees of EBSU students

Ebonyi State Students' Community celebrates an uncommon man who has continued to live his selflessness beyond surface promises to realms of reality. A “fairy godmother” who has continued to harness his God given resources in ameliorating the depression of the less privileged, manifestly felt recently in the Students' Community of Ebonyi State, and non-indigenes, Studying in the State-owned Institution, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.

We extol the ingenuity of a humanitarian who has purchased a good space in the flips of record and history as Ebonyi State University Students' Saviour of the year, in view of his unbridled strength of character in reviving the fading fates of indigent Students of the University, through a no mean financial assistance stretched to the Students, both indigenes and non-indigenes, to enable them defeat the threats of the payment deadline marked by the University, a consequence of which was that the concerned Students would loose their Studentship with the University in the event where they are not able to meet up with payments on or before the deadline stipulated by the Management of Ebonyi State University, amid the devastation of the Nations financial giance by the Covid-19 Pandemic.

At the peak of this terrible challenge, the Ebonyi State Representative of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), who is also the Director of Special Duties, NANS Zone B: Comrade Olisa Alfred Nwuruku, wrote this boundless benefactor for help, and instantaneously, he accepted to assist hundred heads of the indigent Students, both indigenes and non-indigenes, in meeting up with payments; today, the efficacy of this divine assistance has not just reregistered these concerned Students in the list of full fledged Students of Ebonyi State University, for 2019/2020 academic session, but has also resuscitated their deadened fates and hope which were almost lost to abortive protests for deadline extension, and unproductive pleas for assistance from inhumane personalities and the State whom the masses have lost to egocentrism.

In the spirit of these words of gratitude, Ebonyi State Students' Community also commends the human affairs oriented thrust of Ebele and Anyichuks Foundation, the much relief we got from the Foundation during the fearsome crescendo of the global Covid-19 Pandemic is stamped indelibly in our hearts. 

A reasonable number of Ebonyi State Students were as a result of the lockdown, arrested in their respective hostels, and bereaved of financial and material resources, requests were made to Chief Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii FHL, by the Ebonyi NANS Representative to help the Students sail through the faults of the time, as a last hope.

It was for the intervention of this Maecenas that the lives of these trapped Students were unpinned from the hooks of hunger and death which would have inevitably flowed from high starvation and helpless lonesomeness associated with the time. 

At the point where it seemed we would lose our Students to the ugly vicissitudes of the global pandemic, this God sent philanthropist launched an unconditional cash transfer to the tune of twenty thousand naira (#20,000) to 1000 randomly selected indigent Students of Ebonyi State, a magnanimity which content together with God's mercies hauled our Students out of the verge of depression and death.

We also remember other plethora of unannounced dispensations of kindness attributable to this figure, which are all audible to the deaf and visible to the blind.

Today, we make bold to say that we have found another “Saviour in terrestrial Cloaks of divinity”, a light bearer to fading sights, a perfect paradigm of excellence, kindness, cheerfulness, and act of sympathy for the distress and sufferings of the less privileged.

We also recommend this selfless lifestyle to men of this class. Chief Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii FHL has taught us that the only life worth living is the life lived for others who can not live comfortably, and so we certify such kind of life as one ordained by God for humanity, and such which must be imitated for Societal progress. 

This uncommon man in person of Anyichuks is outside the precincts of the penthouse, and yet serving humanity the most, we are confident that whenever God shall consider him fit for Representation, our problems shall all be lost. And so, we pray God for such days.

As we commend Chief Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii and his pet Foundation (Ebele and Anyichuks Foundation), for being liberal in action and thoughtful in character, so do we also pray our heavenly father to continue raining his unlimited blessings on him, as he continue to sprinkle out to humanity.

Furthermore,  on behalf of the teeming students of Ebonyi State, I wish to warmly convey our appreciation to High Chief Dr Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii FHL, the President and Co-founder Ebele and AnyiChuks Foundation for the unconditional cash transfer of N20,000 which he extended to  students of Ebonyi State numbering over 1000 during the last Lockdown which was occasioned by COVID-19 Pandemic.

We also send our sincere encomium to him for assisting indegent students of Ebonyi State University to pay their tuition fees for  2019/2020 academic session.

Indeed we the Students Community are most profoundly grateful for this uncommon gesture as  we pray the Lord God Almighty to continue to bless, keep and uplift High Chief Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii in his choosen carrier.
