Ebonyi State Commissioner for Water Resources, Chief Sunday Inyima said water has started rushing in Abakaliki metropolis.
He made the disclosure yesterday while interacting with newsmen at Abakaliki.
He said water began to rush in the state on 2nd of January.
Inyima said that the state last year had a challenge of water supply due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic which paralyzed the government plan to reticulate water across the state.
He said the pandemic made most of the expertrates who were repairing the water schemes in the state to leave without actualize the government plan.
The water Commissioner added that through the release of fund over N8m for the project by the state governor, Dave Umahi as to enable his ministry to pump water steadily for the consumption of the residents.
