Finally, APC has taken over Ebonyi State - Nwankata

Following the ongoing APC membership registration and revalidation exercise in Ebonyi State, the Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Ebonyi North zone, Hon. John Nwankata has described the State as a hub of APC in the South East and Nigeria at large.

The APC Chieftain made the observation on Wednesday while monitoring the ongoing APC membership registration and revalidation exercise in Ebonyi North zone.

Hon. Nwankata who expressed satisfaction with the level of awareness and turnout for the registration, said that the party would definitely clinch power in 2023 general elections both at the state and the national levels in view of the super plans and modalities that are already on ground in the state, and advised those who are yet to join the progressive party to do so without further delay.

He commended the State Governor, Chief David Nweze Umahi for providing all the necessary materials needed for the smooth running of the registration exercise.

"I want to thank His Excellency, Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi because he has been able to provide a good atmosphere for the ongoing registration and revalidation exercise, and it is because of his philanthropic gestures that made Ebonyians to be in APC completely and I want to assure you that come 2023, the good Lord will pay him back as he will match to Abuja to salvage the people, not just the Igbo land but the entire Nigeria at large because his works speak for him" he stated.

In a related development, the State Financial Secretary of the party, Chief Ozibo Joseph noted that the defection of Governor Umahi from PDP to APC was a divine arrangement as his bold steps remain a hope of the common man and described him as a presidential material that people will behold for unprecedented development in the next general elections in Nigeria.

Also speaking, the Coordinator, Abakaliki DC, Hon. Ekene Ede, who spearheaded the party's membership registration and revalidation in his DC, commended the leadership qualities of Governor Umahi and attributed the huge success of the exercise to the governor's endearing legacies not just in Abakaliki capital city but also in the rural areas across the state. 

"The exercise is going very fast and very smoothly, and the progress we have recorded is not unconnected with the level of development we are experiencing in the state because His Excellency is a workaholic and wonder working governor. You can see how everywhere is been bulldozed and graded in this interior village. So the development in the state is what brought people into APC, and I assure you that we must support him to actualize what we want in APC".

However, in the spite of the huge success recorded so far in the registration and revalidation exercise, the Coordinator observed that if not that they arranged for the photographers, that dearth of passports would have been a very big challenge in the course of the assignment.

Others who made their feelings known including the Councillor representing Timber Shade Ward 14, Hon. Udoka Mbam and his Ndiagu Urban Ward 11 counterpart, Hon. Mrs Maria Akpa, reiterated their commitments in making sure that the people are registered at their various polling units, stressing that each polling booth registered at least 100 persons on daily basis.
