The Chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Sunday Adol Awam has described the Ebonyi Caretaker Committee Chairman of the party, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha as the best fit for the Chairmanship position in the state.
He said, the emergence of Emegha as the Ebonyi Caretaker Chairman of APC has ended party factions in the state.
"All the factions of this party are now one and united. I have seen that, as at now and even in the future to come, you're best fit for that position as our chairman. We are solidly behind you," he said.
He prayed for Umahi to emerge the Nigeria President in 2023 in considering his leadership ingenuities and developmental strides scattered all parts of Ebonyi while in office as the state governor.
Earlier, the state APC Caretaker Committee Chairman, Emegha thanked Adol Awam for his warmed reception, describing him as an open minded party stalwart who has impacted lives in mega styles in the state.
He urged him to encourage other state APC stakeholders and members to continue to support the party and assured that his leadership would ensure that the supporters of the next level movement benefit from their progressive agenda.
"Governor David Umahi and APC under my watch can't lead us astray. I have seen that you are an open minded party Chieftain. Please encourage others to support to continue moving APC forward in Ebonyi State," he stated.
He urged the party Chieftain to equally help in ensuring massive registration and revalidation of the APC members in the state as he appreciated the party supporters who were on ground during the courtesy visit to show him solidarity.
Emegha used the opportunity to announce that he chose to visit Adol Awam today, the orphanage homes and other destitute places in the state as a part of marking his birthday anniversary.
Also speaking, the Member Board of Directors and Chairman Board Establishment, Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority, Hon James Nwogha Nwite and the Coordinator of Echi Aba Development Centre, Hon Elias Igwe thanked Okoro Emegha for having set a standard that promotes peace and unity among the party faithfuls in the state.
It could be recalled that the wife of Adol Awam, Princess Tonia, Ebonyi APC Chieftain, commended the leadership of Governor Umahi, calling for massive support of the next level movement in the state, as according to her, Ebonyi and Nigeria at large would be taken over by the party in 2023.
The highlights of the event included the presentation of gifts by Chief Adol Awam to the state APC Caretaker Committee Chairman, Okoro Emegha and breaking of cake as part of celebrating the party leader's birthday anniversary.
