Governor David Nweze Umahi has approved a 7-day Ebonyi state youth summit as one of the post ENDSARS plans to mainstream the youths in national development.
Ebonyi Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Barr Orji Uche Orji disclosed this in a press statement on Friday.
Parts of the statement read: "The summit shall afford opportunities for young intellectuals, students of different institutions, youths at home and in diaspora, youth leaders of different civil societie, political organizations, youths leaders of religious and traditional institutions, young women leaders and leaders of young people living with disabilities to brainstorm and give their creative ideas on thematic areas of wealth creation, social safety net and employment.
"Education, digital economy and sports developmen; creative and hospitality
industry; security and governance including issues of the state and the nation at large.
Recall that the highlights of the event which was scheduled to hold on Wednesday 24th February to 2nd March 2021, shall include presentation by resource persons and panel of discussants, feedback time by the youths' spokespersons and syndicate period, at Ebonyi State Christian Ecumenical Centre, Abakaliki by 10am dot.
"All contingents from the Local Government Areas and accredited state -based youth organisations must be accredited by their respective Council Chairmen and the leaders of such state- based youth organisations," the release hinted.
