In Ebonyi, the new executives of the African Democratic Congresss (ADC) has been inaugurated as Comrade Nwogba Morgan emerged the acting Chairman of the party in the state.
The inauguration which took place in Abakaliki was officiated by the South East Vice Chairman of the party, Barr. Nlemu Ignatius alongside other delegates on behalf of the national Chairman, Chief Ralph Okey Nwosu.
In his words of admonishment, Barr. Nnem Ignatius encouraged Comrade Morgan and other inaugurated state executive members to remain focused in piloting the affairs of the party in the state in the interest of the masses, stressing that ADC has come to take over power in Nigeria, particularly Ebonyi State.
He expressed optimism that with the plans already on ground that ADC has come to correct the political anomalies in the country
"Having set this committee up, notifying the INEC and having inaugurated them today, we have a blue print and template on how to work and to let our efforts trickle down to the grassroots in all the wards of the 13 Local Government Areas in Ebonyi State. We know how to do grassroot politics. That is why we are here from Anambra, Imo, Enugu and Abia to inaugurate this committee today as a sign of the South East seriousness of our great party. Ebonyi is one of the states where our presence will speak for itself and ADC will take over" he said.
He noted that what the people are currently seeing or hearing about the ADC as the number three most strong party in Nigeria was a tip of the iceberg as there would be a political summersault and an implosion before the middle of 2022 that will scatter the membership of other purported existing bigger political parties that will then collapse into ADC.
In his inaugural address, the newly inaugurated caretaker committee chairman, Comrade Nwogba Morgan, expressed happiness on the confidence reposed on him and his colleagues and promised to work very hard in order to ensure that ADC becomes a party to behold in all parts of the state, stressing that the party would occupy enviable positions in Ebonyi State including the governorship slot in the forthcoming general elections.
Comrade Morgan noted that the ruling party in Nigeria since its inception in 2015 has not been able to deliver on its mandate, rather than indulging in questionable anti-democratic strategies aimed at muzzling up dissecting views for a full blown dictatorship to emerge.
"I wish to bring to our notice that the major target of this party is to take over this country at all cost from the ruling party, APC and the reason is very simple which includes but not limited the fact that the leadership of this country has failed woefully to advance any solution to the myriads of problems facing the country a lot of which came as a result of poor governance and insensitivity from the government" he submitted.
Others who spoke during the inauguration ceremony, including the Chairman People's Progressive Party (PPP) Ebonyi State, Chief Mrs. Juliet Nwinya and the Chairman, Board of Trustee (BOT) ADC Ebonyi State, Prince Nweke Chinwuba, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the inauguration and commended the leadership of ADC ranging from the state to the national level of the party for the peaceful exercise while advising the newly inaugurated caretaker committee members never to fail in championing the course of good governance in Nigeria.
