The All Progressives Congress (APC) South Africa chapter, has extolled the managerial acumen of the Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru which has helped in uniting the members
Barrister Osita David, the Legal Adviser of the chapter which has its headquarters in Pretoria, said in an interview that Nwifuru remains a shining star to the state and an embodiment of inspiration to the youths.
David said that Nwifuru who recently celebrated his 46th year birthday, has distinguished himself as a lawmaker and made valuable contributions in the developing Ebonyi though his unparallel legislative acumen.
“His emergence as the Speaker has rejuvenated the House and ensured that it churns laws which have positive impact on the people.
“The speaker’s legislative acumen has earned him national, continental and global recognition which has placed him in several legislative forums and associations of repute,” he said.
The APC South Africa legal adviser also said that Nwifuru has efficiently put the House on the path of progress and made the members shun controversies but concentrate on the task of lawmaking.
“The House has truly lived to its billing as the most peaceful assembly in the country and this is under Nwifuru’s watch.
“This is the first time since the state’s creation that the House of assembly is not embroiled in controversy despite inherent challenges,” he said.
He also noted that the House’s co-operation with the executive arm of government, has made Governor David Umahi transform the state infrastructurally and in other sectors.
“This co-operation has ensured that there is no rancour between both arms of government.
“This ultimately ensures that the governor concentrates on delivering democratic dividends to the people and strengthening the much desired executive-legislative relationship."
