Allow spirit of accomodation to rule your unions, Ogbaga advises new families

The Former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Godwin Ogbaga has advised new families to allow the spirit of accomodation to rule their unions.

He gave this advice on Saturday at St. Oliver's Parish, Catholic Church Amofia Ngbo in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State after the church service for Mr and Mrs Christian Mayor Iduma's white wedding.

Ogbaga described spirit of accomodation as the best principle which every couple should not underplay to build a successful home.

The Elder Statesman in the statetate advised Mr and Mrs Christian Mayor Iduma and their counterparts across the world to always sustain the first  and geuine love which led to their marriage.

He cautioned every young couple against giving chance to any internal influence, as according to him, husband and wife resolving their differences by themselves remains the best.


"Let me congratulate those who weeded today and those who are going to wed in the nearest future. It is very important to have someone as your husband or wife, instead of jumping from one corner to another.

"But by the time you have tied the knot, you do everything to sustain the love that brought you together, believing in God will bless your family.

"Don't involve third party in any event of disagreement no matter what may be the case.

"The best principle to adopt by every new family is that spirit of accomodation. Nobody is perfect, the man is not perfect and the woman is not perfect. They should accommodation each other and that will do  alot for the progress of the family," he advised.


Ogbaga also harped on the current situation of the society today, and identified that the social vices are terrible coupled with unemployment.

He however, advised younger generations to appreciate the need of doing entrepreneurship and choose a course that would make them a self-reliance.

"When you come to what is happening in the society today, the social vices are terrible, coupled with unemployment situation.

"But in the face of these problems, It is important especially for the younger generation to appreciate the need of attempting entrepreneurship, handwork, and if you are going into university, you choose a course that can lead to self employment so that when you finish you won't be hanging around searching for the non-existing white-collar job," he said.

He therefore, called government to provide enabling environment that will make it possible for beginners who want to go into entrepreneurship to effectively start a business, expecting such business to thrive for the benefit of the society.
