It was a galore of jubilation as the family members of the Ebonyi State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Cletus Ofoke dedicated their little baby, Miss Jacintha Nwankwo Ofoke to God on Sunday at the Bishop Thomas Macgettrick Pastoral Centre, Abakaliki.
The officiating Priest during the child's dedication, Rev. Fr. James Nwofoke dwelled on the theme of the Holy Trinity as the Sunday Mass Service was used to observe the feast of the Holy Trinity in the Catholic Church across the world.
Fr. Nwofoke enjoined everybody to do all within his or her ability to harness the potentials of diversity to achieve unity in diversity, thereby promoting a peaceful co-existence among people in the society.
According to him, keeping a harmonious relationship like the Holy Trinity will engender peace and progress in various communities.
"Just like the three persons in the Holy Trinity, our people should strive to maintain a harmonious relationship as a family, church, community or state," he hinted.
Speaking during the occasion at his residential quarters in Abakalki town, the Attorney General, Chief Cletus Ofoke, expressed joy and thanked God for His grace and a gift of a child whom he named after his mother - Jacintha Nwankwo Ofoke, the woman so dear to him.
Chief Ofoke further thanked God for the robust nature of the event and prayed God's infinity mercy will continue to guide and protect the child, by providing all the enablement to train her in the ways of the Lord.
He thanked the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Nweze Umahi whom he said, had elevated him and his family, praying God to continue to promote the governor from strength to strengthen and from power to power with full measures of His grace and protection.
He equally appreciated his wife, Mrs Mercy Chioma Ofoke, his children and all that made the occasion to a colourful one, praying God to bless them abundantly.
The occasion chaired by the Honourable Commissioner for Infrastructural Development for Concessioning, Engr Fidelis Kings Nweze attracted many dignitaries including the Deputy Governor of the State, Barr Kelechi Igwe, the Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly represented by his wife, Chief Mrs Uzoamaka Nwifuru, and the state's Chief Judge.
While speaking, some of dignitaries including the Chairman of Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, and the Secretary to the State Government and Coordinating Commissioner, Chief Kenneth Ugbala, described the event as a great one, and thanked God for the special gift to the family.
The duo said God always bless people according to the measure of their faith, and advised those seeking a fruit of womb to be faithful in God, as they prayed that in the next nine months of the child dedication, such families would gather for the celebration of their own babies.
In their parts, the two lawmakers of Ebonyi State House Assembly, Chief Benjamin Ezeoma of Ebonyi North East State Constituency, and his counterpart of Izzi East, Chief Anthony Nwegede, thanked God for blessing the family, and prayed for more blessings of God for the family of the Attorney General and his guests.
Recall that the immediate past Ebonyi Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Chief Mrs Elizabeth Ogechi Ogbaga, where among personalities and numerous others from the state who honoured the event, wishing the family more blessings of God
