A woman whose name was given as Mrs Ukamaka Edeh from Enyigba community in Abakaliki Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, has now delivered a bouncing baby boy in the State Christian Ecumenical Centre.
The woman who reportedly came for the flag off of the Ebonyi State Health Insurance Scheme, delivered the baby by herself in the centre.
The crying of the new baby attracted team of Ebonyi State Health Insurance Agency (EBSHIA) and other people in the centre.

Speaking to NATIONAL PANEL REPORTERS, Mrs, Edeh appealed to the general public to come to her aid.
Meanwhile, the Executive Secretary of the agency, Professor Uzoma Mary Rose Agwu had directed her officials to take the said woman to one of the accredited health facilities within the Abakalki metropolis for prompt medical attention.
Contacting Mrs Odoh Elizabeth, the Matron in charge of Maternal and Child Health Care Center, Covet Road, Azuiyiokwu in Abakalki said that the woman and her baby are strong and healthy.
"The woman and the baby are very okay. We've taken immediate care of the baby and the mother. Immediately, the woman was rushed to our centre with the baby, we cut the cord, clean the baby, dry the baby and did all that are necessary for the baby for immediate care. We weighed the baby and his weight was about 2.8 kg and he is a bay boy."
Mrs Odoh expressed joy over the successful delivery of the baby by his mother and advised other women especially the pregnant mothers to keep the culture of regular antenatal care, saying there have testimonies of free delivery by those who kept regular antenatal care in the centre.
"I also encourage all the women, pregnant mothers to be going regular antenatal care because it is through the regular antenatal care, this woman was able to be recognized and adequate attention was given to her by health officers, and there have been a lot of testimonies of free delivery like this woman in the state.
"She is already a notable person going for antenatal care, So, I urge all the women to always go for antenatal care. There's benefit for registering for antenatal care, the less privileged, poor ones are be taken care of in our Centre and other parts of Ebonyi State," She added.
Also Speaking, Comrade Nweke Samson, the Claim Officer Ebonyi State Health Insurance Agency, EBSHIA, described the delivery of the baby during the event as an awesome, expressing Happy both the baby and his mother were sound and strong.
Nweke assured of the hospital bills for the mother and her child through their stay in the health centre will be free of charge, saying that "it is one of the benefits of health insurance scheme in Ebonyi State."
