Governor David Umahi, Tuesday approved the appointment of Prof. Chigozie Jesse Uneke as the Acting Vice Chanchellor of King David Medical Science University, Uburu in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The Secretary to the State Government and Coordinating Commissioner, Dr Kenneth Igwe Ugbala made the announcement in Abakalki.
The approval by Governor Umahi according to Ugbala was to ensure the smooth take off and effective management of the new medical university in the state.
The appointment was said to start with immediate 'effect from 1st June, 2021 and shall last for a period of six months.'
Ugbala said that "the new Acting Vice Chancellor is expected to deploy his wealth of experiences to manage the new institution to achieve the vision of establishing the University by Ebonyi State Government."
