Speaker Nwifuru restores calm amidst brewing tension at Ebonyi tipper garage

 

Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has advised the leadership of Ebonyi Tiper Garage to dissociate themselves from the leadership business of the Union of the garage and focus on delivering their set targets for Government. 

The Honourable Speaker who swiftly visited the park this afternoon, at the troubling invitation of the Union who came to his residence in the morning, said it was needless for the leadership of the park to delve into the affairs of the Union, as its jurisdiction is simply, to organize the park and make proper remittance to Government.

Against the false information that the unrest was rooted in the tension occasioned by the conflict between Izzi and Ikwo clans, Speaker Nwifuru noted that he was glad to have learnt that it was a  mere leadership tussle between the Union and the leadership of the park. 

He however admonished the Union of the park, that while they independently administer their affairs as stipulated by their laws, they should abide by Government’s laid down directives for the park. 

Having restored calm and peace at the garage, he enjoined all to go about their normal businesses in and around the park without fear of being molested by anyone.
