This is contained in a statement issued to reporters in Abakaliki on Saturday by the institution’s spokesman, Mr Ikechukwu Ubochi.
The statement explained that the school had ranked 32 out 167 universities in Nigeria on the quality of scientists in the recent global ranking.
In the 2021 university ranking released by a leading global ranking body based in Turkey, AD Scientific Index, the University emerged 32, topping many older universities in Nigeria.
According to the global body, the ranking “reveals the competency of institutions to attract prized scientists and the ability of institutions to encourage advances and retain scientists.
"The ranking which covered private, state and federal universities in Nigeria, revealed that AE-FUNAI emerged 2nd out of all the universities established in Nigeria from 2011 and beyond.
"Available records show that the University has also being doing well in the yearly and biannual ranking of other global bodies such as Webometrics.
In the past 10 years of its establishment, AE-FUNAI has been making steady progress in the quality of its academic activities which has boosted her national and global visibility," the statement explained.
The Vice-Chancellor of the Instruction, Prof. Sunday Elom further assured that the management would continued to push harder to put in place all the necessary modalities and facilities that are needed to make the University attain excellence.
