APC Ward Congress, most peaceful in Ebonyi - Umahi

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has described the conduct of APC ward congress in Ebonyi State as most peaceful.

Umahi who went round part of the state,like,Ohaozara local government area and Edda in Afikpo south local government,to monitor the congress,described the consensus arrangement demonstrated at the field in a way of massive mobilization as excellent.

Governor Umahi spoke to journalists at Edda,Afikpo South  local government area during an inspection visit to Iyere Flyover bridge which is under construction.
His words,“The consensus arrangement being demonstrated at the field by way of massive mobilization and election are very excellent".

Answering question on caretaker arrangement of the Party,governor David Umahi said it was appropriately done in line with the  Nigerian constitution and Party's constitution. 

His words,“When that opinion was expressed,that it was illegal, I had to go through the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria and the constitution of the party."

" A section of the party constitution empowers the National Executive Committee to set up a caretaker committee and this caretaker committee is to do the job of any of the organs of the party where there is vacancy or vacancies.

On the Iyere Edda Flyover construction which has reached advance stage,governor David Umahi assured that the Flyover,although the longest in the state with 30 span,will be commissioned by December,2021.

"we will commission this project by December. It is one of the fastest projects in the history of the state.
“Admittedly, it is quite challenging but with determination, we decided to do this. 

“An average of 30 people die on this road every year, so, we are doing this to reduce a slope of 45% to a slope of 7% through a flyover and  I hope to save lives and that’s what we are set to do in Ebonyi State,”he concluded.
