Governor Samuel Ortom today swore in Mrs Mary Kange as Permanent Secretary in the Benue State Civil Service as well as Mr Bende-Na Nongo as a Member of the Benue State Civil Service Commission.
The Governor also today, inaugurated the Chairmen and members of the Benue State University Governing Council, board of Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Governing Council of the School of Health Technology Agasha as well as Benue State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Governor Ortom explained that the swearing in and inauguration are intended to add value and reposition the various government institutions for enhanced health, education and general service delivery to people of the state.
He stated that the appointees have come to serve at a time challenges and expectations were enormous and charged them to deploy their wealth of experience and all the good qualities that had given them success and good name in life in the discharge of their duties.
While assuring them of his administration's support and cooperation, Governor Ortom congratulated the appointees for the opportunity to serve, even as he tasked them on virtues that would entrench transparency, accountability, justice and fairness among others.
Chief Sabastine Hon, SAN chairs the Benue State University Governing Board with Dr Omale Oibiokpa Chairing Benue State University Teaching Hospital while Dr Stephen Hwande is Chairman Governing Council School of Health Technology Agasha and Alhaji Musa Abdullahi, aka Musa Plato is the Chairman Benue State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Responding on behalf of those sworn in and inaugurated, Chief Sabastine Hon thanked God and Governor Ortom for the opportunities to serve and and pledged to justify the confidence reposed in them.
He described the domestication of the National Pension Law, PENCOM as a milestone by the Ortom-led administration that needs commendation.
