On Tuesday, 28th September, 2021, the Federal Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission, Ebonyi State, Hon. Chukwu Donald Ogbonna led principal staff of the Commission to pay homage to the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonnia Nwifuru.
The Federal Commissioner and his team were warmly welcomed and received by the Speaker of the 6th Assembly.
In his opening remarks, the Hon. Commissioner thanked the Hon. Speaker for making out time out of his schedules to receive them.
He reeled out the history, statutory duties and achievements recorded by the Ombudsman in the short while and informed the Speaker that the Public Complaints Commission, Ebonyi State was ready to partner with the Ebonyi State House of Assembly in programs that will effect the positive lives of disgruntled victims of maladministration and other administrative actions impugning the practice of workplace norms including those ochestrated by corporate bodies.
The Commissioner also commended the Speaker for his landmark achievements in lawmaking process regarding the unprecedented plethora of laws that has been birthed in his reign as the speaker of the Hallowed House of Assemby.
Hon. Chukwu Donald Ogbonna, reinstated his unalloyed loyalty and support to the policies of Ebonyi State Government , vis a vis the Ebonyi State House of Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonnia Nwifuru who has shown exemplary and equitable representation in managing the affairs of the 6th Assembly devoid of rancour and solicited for partnership with the the State Government and by extension, the House of Assembly, so that the Ebonyians will feel the impact of the Ombudsman in the State.
On his part, the Rt. Hon. Speaker commended the efforts of the Hon. Commissioner in working selflessly to change the fortune of the Public Complaints Commission, Ebonyi State and promised that Ebonyi State House of Assembly would harness this window of partnership to monitoring and disciplining actors of administrative recklessness as well as providing adequate redress for victims of such malady.
