Frontline Chairmanship aspirant in October 16th Nationwide State Congress of the All Progressives Congress APC, and the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the party in Ebonyi State Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha says maintaining the track record of a peaceful, all-inclusive and united party is an agenda he cannot trade for anything.
Chief Okoro Emegha made this known shortly after collecting his nomination and expression of interest form in Abakaki, Ebonyi State capital.
Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha used the opportunity to canvass for more vote from the delegates that will participate in the congress stressing that he is fully committed to continue to build on the already existing peace in the party in collaboration with every stakeholder.
He lauded the leadership ingenuity of the leader of the party in the state, Chief David Nweze Umahi in connecting Ebonyi State to the mainstream Nigeria politics early enough promising to remain under his mentorship as well as that of other stakeholders whose ideologies will benefit a greater number of the people in the state.
In his words" If elected, I will persevere to continue in the part of building a formidable party in the state by not only ensuring that the bridges of unity and peace already existing in the party is sustained but will also ensure that the dying People's Democratic Party PDP is totally buried by collapsing it's members into ours. We can only expect the few good elements in the party to join us in developing the state. The bad eggs cannot be admitted but we will rather retire them so that the people of the state will no longer be deceived by their evil tactics.
Emegha Stated further that based on the wide support received so far, he is optimistic of victory at the Congress and promised to continue to run an all- inclusive leadership anchored on the principles of Internal democracy which subsist in the party in order to ensure landslide victory in the forthcoming general elections.
"I am optimistic of victory at the Congress. I want to assure Ebonyians especially APC members that I will build on the already existing peace, unity and all inclusive mantra in the party. We shall continue to run an open door policy, and above all prepare to win all elective position from the President down to the State House of Assembly.
From all indications, all is now set for the conduct of the state congresses of the APC nationwide. Consequently, political observers are advising delegates to cast their votes according to their conscience by considering the antecedents and pedigrees of the aspirants and not to sale their mandate to the highest bidder.
