In a statement signed by Chairman, Comrade Celestine Okeh and Secretary, Comrade Ndubuisi Nwogha, and made available to Newsmen in Abakaliki the Ebonyi State capital, the Association described Isiguzo’s victory as a reward for hard work. Urging him and his greater height team to consolidate on the achievements record in the last three years on the saddle.
“OMPAN encourages you to forge ahead and continue to uplift the union, as we assure you and the leadership of NUJ of our support and co- operation”.
The Association further called on the National president to prioritize the welfare of members of NUJ, pledging the unalloyed support of OMPAN, Ebonyi State to his Leadership.
“OMPAN assures you of our support to succeed as we urge you to see your new responsibilities as a call to duty and to contribute significantly to the growth of the journalism profession in Nigeria".
