The member Representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, on Sunday said, he is at the National Assembly to transform and impact positively, on the lives of his people.
Ogah stated this at his Item Amagu Country home, Ikwo Local Government Area, during the 2021 Christmas celebration for his Constituents. He said, "we're out to transform lives. it is not about me. I'm contented with what God has given to me. It is about the poor widows, the less privileged, that project that need to be executed, it is about those social amenities we can attract", he stated.
He listed some of his achievements in the last two years to include, sinking of boreholes to all the wards in Ikwo and Ezza South Local Government Areas, securing jobs for the unemployed youths in all the villages in Ikwo and Ezza South, sponsoring of over bills and motions, empowerment and scholarship to students at various levels, building of Civic center in Ikwo and Ezza South, supply of drug to hospital in Ikwo and Ezza South among others.
He comended Governor David Umahi for his transformational giant strides in the state and his courageous political move from the opposition, PDP to the ruling APC which he said, has opened new vista of opportunities to the people of Ebonyi state.
Ogah, thanked the people for the massive support given so far, pledged his total commitment to welfare and well-being of his Constituents. He enjoined the youths to support Governor Umahi's administration and keep faith with the All Progressives Congress APC, and stay away from crime as does not pay.
Earlier in his speech, the Deputy Governor, Dr Kelechi Igwe comended Comrade Ogah for his legislative exploits, describing him as the best Lawmaker in Nigeria. The Deputy Governor who was represented by the Elder Steve Orogwu, Ikwo Local Government Council Chairman, urged the people to keep supporting Comrade Chinedu Ogah As he has given his Constituency, quality representation at the National Assembly.
On his part, Chairman, Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and fiscal Commission, Engr. Elias Mbam who was a special guest at the event, described Comrade Ogah as a special gift from God whose representation and pragmatic approach to issues have touched souls and have continued touching them without discrimination. He prayed and wished him the best in all his political career.
The Chairman of the ocassion, Prof. Anthony Itumo and other speakers which include Chief Okeagu Ogada, Ann Eke Okocha, Prof Chucks Edeogu, Comrade Aloh Ogbonnaya, Elder Idah N. Idah, Hon. Sunday Onuzu and others, lauded the quality representation of Comrade Chinedu Ogah and assured him of their continued support for his reelection come 2023.
The annual Christmas celebration which is the 14th in the series, tagged 'stomach infrastructure', saw the distribution of wrappers, Rice, money and other gift items to over 5,000 women, youths, support groups, widows, less privileged, Party faithfuls among others by Comrade Chinedu Ogah.
