The Ebonyi State Commander of Ebubeagu South East Security Outfit, Commander Friday Nnanna Ujor ( JAPAN) have described the establishment of Ebubeagu as one of the best thing that have happened to the state and the south East.
Commander Friday Ujor made this known in his office while interacting with journalist on the occasion of his 100 days in office.
He expressed gratitude to God for his Mercy and Grace that saw him through the last hundred days.
The State Commander said that in his 100days on the saddle, Ebubeagu has been able to trackle insecurity in the state to a standstill, maintaining that there's no longer cases of kidnapping, picking pockets, armed robbery, car snatching and other crime.
He said that over 70 criminals were arrested and greater number of them tried and sentenced and are cooling off in the correctional facility in the state.
The commander said, "Ebubeagu is one of the best thing that have happened to Ebonyi State. Since Ebubeagu came onboard, we no longer hear of kidnapping, car snatching pocket picking and other crime. Go to our neighboring state and see what is happening and you will come back to thank our Governor, Engr David Umahi for bringing Ebubeagu.
"In my hundred days in office, we have had a strong working synergy with our mother security agencies. If you ask the Commissioner of police, he will tell you that Ebubeagu is the best thing that have happened to the state security.
"As we speak now, the police cannot not go for an arrest without involving Ebubeagu. They will call me, Commander, call your men to go and pick so, so person for us and it will be done. So, that is how we work. If there's no synergy, you wouldn't be staying in Abakaliki.
"In the recent killings in some local Government Areas in which some of my men were victim, so many arrest have been made, some have been charged to court and some have been remanded.
"I have been in constant interaction with my men on the area of personal safety especially, in the crises zone and I assure you, we are better prepared even as we approach the 2023 electioneering period. You know, the heightened interest among political parties is a call for serious security check, but rest assured of our commitment to the security of all Ebonyians.
He applauded the state Governor, Engr David Umahi for prioritizing the security of live and property of Ebonyi people, describing him as the General in security, in infrastructure, in workers welfare, in empowerment and in so many other areas.
The Ebubeagu State Commander urged those who still have penchant for crime to leave the state or change, warning that he and his men cannot watch them destroyed the state that the Governor has laboured to so hard to build.
He congratulated his colleagues for marking hundred days in office and prayed for God's protection for them all.
