In a bid to give both men and women equall access to Technological Opportunities,a non governmental organization popularly known as Adesso Development Initiative (ADI),is ready to bridge the digital divide between men and women in Ebonyi State.
The organization announces its intention to train Abakaliki-based women and girls in the areas of UI/UX Design, Frontend Development, Backend Development among others.
According to the executive director,Mr.Nnaemeka Phil Eke-Okocha while speaking to newsmen in Abakaliki,the Tech4girls fellowship is a two-month emmersive learning program specially designed for women and girls who are interested in careers in technology for the betterment of our society.
He further explained that the purpose of the program is to bridge the digital divide between men and women by offering them equal access to Technological Opportunities.
"Tech4Girls Fellowship is a two-month immersive learning program for women and girls who are interested in careers in technology.
"The program attempts to bridge the digital divide between men and women by giving women and girls equal access to technological opportunities.
"For the next two years, multiple cohorts will be implemented using standardized learning curriculums throughout the selected learning tracks.
"Tech4Girls will train Abakaliki-based women and girls in the following areas:UI/UX Design, Frontend Development, Backend Development",he explained.
He therefore calls for applications from interested individuals for the first cohort of its Tech4girls fellowship program saying that the training is slated to commence in June and will last for two months while the deadline for application is 31st May,2022.
Mr.Eke Okocha Further added that they female participants who will come for the physical training must be between they ages of 15---29 years ,and resident in Abakaliki.
