Mazi Okafor, in a statement, called on the security agencies to immediately, arrest and investigate Igboayaka for his neferious activities and his unending blackmail against Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state and other leaders of the zone and for also using a faceless and unlawful group 'Ohaneze youth Council' (OYC) to blackmail and swindle his unsuspecting victims.
Mazi Damian Okafor's statement reads in full;
"I read an unfortunate, forlorn and doomed article credited to a serial blackmailer, hoodwinker, swindler and charlatan popularly called Igboayaka O. Igboayaka where he was mudding himself in a cheap blackmail Job against the best Governor in Nigeria. It is also to my knowledge that the good for nothing miscreant is looking for cheap popularity as he has shifted his blackmails from Okezie Ikpeazu and Willie Obiano due to lack of attention given to him. This fraudster called Igboayaka has been on a tour of one state to another looking for whom to swindle and has been apprehended severally.
"The two-day working visit of Mr. President to Ebonyi State is a historic achievement of Governor David Nweze Umahi as some mischievous politicians especially the principal sponsor of this hoodlum called Igboayaka fought tooth and nail to abort but to prove that grace differs, Mr President paid deaf ears to his slanders. When they find out that their sinister plans has failed, they resorted to influencing some Igbo Leaders to boycott the meeting. In all these, they failed woefully like never before. They could not hide their frustration over their unsuccessful plans to disorganize the meeting; hence the cheap blackmail.
"The Chairman of South East Governors Forum has set the ball rolling in all adventures to return peace to the region by organizing several meetings involving the leaders of thought within and outside the zone to ensure that lasting peace return to South East. One of such meetings is the just concluded 2-days visit of Mr. President to Ebonyi State where an interactive section between Mr President and Igbo Leaders was ensued. Notable people who made presentation at the meeting include the Chairman of South East CAN, Very Rev. Fr. Abraham C. Nwali, Chairman of South East Traditional Rulers Council, HRM Eze Charles Mkpuma, Representative of the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dr Peter Aneke, Representative of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Elders Council, Dr Mbazuluike Amechi and in all their speeches, it was tailored to the realization of a Nigerian president from South East extraction and the political solution for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
"While we invite the security agencies to arrest and investigate all the lies peddled against the Governor of Ebonyi State by the imposter called Igboayaka who incidentally is from Imo State and knows the content of the terrorism going on there, we enjoined the public to be vigilant as there is nothing like Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC). It is an illegal organization use by such criminals to undo people".
