Ahead of the APC Presidential primaries, Ebonyi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha have called on the National delegates to cast their votes for Engr David Umahi, whom he said, is the most qualified aspirant with proven track records of performance devoid of corruption traces and a firm believer in the unity and development of Nigeria as an indivisible entity.
Chief Emegha while interacting with journalist in Abakaliki said, the APC national delegates owe Nigerians such patriotic task of electing Engr Umahi as the party's flag bearer who will not only consolidate on the gains of the current administration, but a leader with maximum experience, energy and political will to tackle the infrastructural, economic and security challenges of Nigeria.
Emegha revealed that the seven years of Engr David Umahi as the Governor of Ebonyi State have librated the state from infrastructural backwardness to infrastructural giant of Nigeria.
He reiterated that the Governor has prudently managed the meagre resources of the state in developing all sectors of the state.
The state APC helmsman noted that Engr Umahi's security template have made the state, most peacefull in the region and will replicate same across the country if voted in.
In the area of Education, Emegha said that the Governor build and equipped a world class medical University rated best in sub-saharan Africa, which he said, has the capacity of ending medical tourism in Nigeria and Africa.
He sited the Ebonyi international Airport, shipping mall, the over fifteen flyovers scattered across the areas of the state, the Margaret Umahi International market, the ultramodern New government house, over ten thousand killomers of concrete roads across the state, the Iyere Edda flyover bridge and numerous others as some of Governor David Umahi's landmark projects in the state.
Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha therefore, beckons on the national delegates to see voting for Engr David Umahi as a Vote for unity, Development, stability and progress of Nigeria, hence the need to Jettison regional, ethnic and parochial interest and support the aspirantion of Engr David Umahi to take Nigeria to the promised Land.
"I call on all our Party's national delegates irrespective of tribe to cast your votes for Engr
David Umahi. Because with Umahi at the presidency, he will change the narratives for the betterment of the country and her citizens as well.
"It is no longer news that President Buhari has done his best to steer the ship of state away from the rocks at the most critical time in our history and trajectory as a nation-state. What is news is that Nigeria needs a leader who has the capacity and competence to consolidate on the gains made by President Buhari's administration and build on it to heal the wounds of our dear country which had been lacerated by years of economic recession, insecurities, ethnic irredentism, tribal loyalty and the people's lack of confidence in government. Hence, the only presidential hopeful that can deal with these oddities and restore the glory and dignity of Nigeria is Engr David Umahi.
"Let us therefore jettison tribal sentiments and throw our weights behind Engr Umahi as the only presidential aspirant that can pull Nigeria out of economic quagmire and the debilitating doldrums of insecurities and other allied negativisms bedeviling our nation.
