Ebonyi State Deputy Governor, Dr Eric Kelechi Igwe has warmed fake news peddlers against heating up the already fragile political space with fake social media post alleging that he wants to dump the ruling All Progressives Congress APC in the state for the labour party, noting that he has no plans of leaving APC now or later.
The Ebonyi State number two citizen while reacting to a social media post by one Mr Chris Nnanna Ogba, alleging that he wants to dump the APC for Labour Party is not only false but a deliberate attempt to smear the office and personality of His Excellency the Deputy Governor and misinform the party and the general public.
He called on the public and the party to discountenance such social media post, urging the purveyor, Chris Nnanna Ogba to immediately retract the post and tender unreserved appology to that effect.
This was contained in a statement from the Chief press secretary to the Deputy Governor, Dr Monday Uzor, and made available to Journalist in Abakaliki.
The statement reads in full,
