The All Progressives Congress APC in Ebonyi State has expressed joy over the outcome of local government elections in the state.
The state Chairman of the party, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha made his feelings known shortly after the results of the election were announced by the Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission EBISEC at its headquarters in Abakakili.
Emegha in a statement, commended the massive turnout of people who exercised their civic rights in a most deserving manner adding that they have lionised his earlier assertion that Ebonyi is at home with APC and administration of Governor David Umahi.
The party Chieftain Emegha, applauded the electoral umpire for charting a justifiable course which birthed a generally accepted polls that produced a new set of leaders who will form a formidable force with the second tier of government to entrench more development in every sector of the economy.
Chief Emegha also poured encomium on the state governor, Chief David Umahi for allowing the electoral umpire to be truly independent in its activities stressing that the disposition helped to address the issue of voters apathy among the electorate.
The leadership of APC therefore urged the 13 chairmen and 171 ward councillors elected in the 2022 local government elections to give more life to developmental activities bearing in mind that Governor Umahi has set a precedence of good governance in the state.
