Media Group Lauds INEC For Acknowledging EDON As Ebonyi LP Guber Candidate

Media support Group for the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi and that of Ebonyi State gubernatorial candidate, Arch. Edward Nkwegu in the 2023 general election, has Commended the Independent national Electoral Commission (INEC) for confirming Arch. Edward Nkwegu as the duly recognized gubernatorial candidate for the party in Ebonyi State.

In a statement signed by the president of the group, Mr Nnachi James and the publicity secretary, Hon. Agatha Ogba, and made available to Journalist in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital.

The group commended the peaceful and credible primary election that brought Arch Nkwegu as the State gubernatorial candidate of Labour Party and called on all, to join forces with him to ensure the victory of the party in the forthcoming general election.

The statement further acknowledged the humble, credible, competent and peaceful dispositions of the state Gubernatorial Candidate, stressing that his 2015 political structure is still intact and is fully prepared to prosecute the 2023 election with the necessary force it deserved.

The statement reads in full;

"On behalf of the Media Support group for the presidential candidate of Labour Party,Dr.Peter Obi,coN,and Governorship Candidate of Labour Party in Ebonyi State,Arc.Dr.Edward Nkwegu,OFR,(OBI/EDON 2023) we expressed our gratitude to God for the Victory of a credible alternative and An Industrialist, Arc. Dr.Edward Nkwegu, Edon as the 2023 Labour Party Gavernorship candidate in the State during the official substitution primaries conducted by the National Leadership of the party in Abakaliki.

We also appreciate the efforts of the independent National Electoral Commission INEC,Security Agents,Labour Party Executives both State and National for hitch-free exercise.

"Edon is a humble,peaceful and God fearing man.His political structure since 2015 are still intact and aggressively prepare for 2023 General Elections.

"On the recent Federal High Court Judgement,we therefore call on supporters of OBI/EDON 2023,and entire labour party members in Ebonyi State not to be discouraged as the party and INEC have acknowledged the outcome of the primaries and the candidature of Arc.Dr.Nkwegu,It is part of politics.

Remember,for a man to achieve success in life, he must meet a stumbling block.We must win the battle at the end.
