First on the roll were the APC Women Leaders led by Afikpo North LGA Woman Leader, Mrs. Felicia Agaezi Enya, who came with her Executives as well as the 12 Women Leaders at the Ward Levels, to congratulate the Council Chairman on his electoral victory and successful swearing-In and assured him of their loyalty, cooperation and support in all areas of governance.
While commending the Council Chairman for the warm reception enjoyed by the Women leaders in his office, Mrs. Enya, further assured him of their preparedness to join hands with him and other APC Stakeholders to deliver all the Candidates of the Party in the 2023 General Elections.
The next people that came, were market men and women under the umbrella of the Afikpo Market Amagalmated Traders Association,AMATA .
In a remark, the Chairman of AMATA,Comrade Johnson Inya Oka, lauded Gov. Umahi's inclusive governance approach, especially the area of giving the youths the opportunity to participate in the governance of Ebonyi State through elective and appointive positions and adviced him to provide good and purposeful leadership for the people of Afikpo North Local Government Area.
The Executive Chairman of Afikpo North Local Government Area, Hon. Uchenna Ibiam also welcomed Ukezeke Amasiri to the Council, who came to reiterate their readiness to continue with their unalloyed support for Government at all levels.
In his response,the Executive Chairman of Afikpo North Local Government Area, Hon. Uchenna Ibiam, while thanking members of the various Groups for the visit, reaffirmed that he will run an open door policy that will give every group, Community and shades of opinion, a sense of belonging.
He called on various Groups and residents of the Area, to continue to support the Government of Engr. David Nweze Umahi,FNSE, FNATE,CON, and align themselves with the policy thrust of his administration for peace and meaningful development in Afikpo North Local Government Area.
