The Executive Chairman of Afikpo North Local Government Area, Hon Uchenna Nnajiofor Ibiam on Tuesday received a delegation from Oke-Ekpuji Ancient Kingdom of Ezi Oti Inya Village in Unwana Community who paid him a Courtesy visit in his Office at the LGA Secretariat in Afikpo. They are his kith and kin as the Council Boss hails from Ezi-Oti Inya in Unwana Community of Afikpo North Local Government Area as well.
Speaking, the Leader of the Delegation and Chairman of Ezi Oti Inya, Chief Ogbonnia Uguba Ibiam described Hon. Uche Ibiam as a son that is so loved by his people and expressed optimism that his egalitarian and people oriented administration will certainly usher in a new and glorious dawn in Afikpo North Local Government.
He further lauded Gov. Umahi whose advocacy and stand on equity made it possible for a Son of Oke-Ekpuji Ancient Kingdom to emerge as the Chairman of Afikpo North Local Government Area and advised the Council Chairman to remain focused in the delivery good governance at the grassroot on which his mandate is anchored, assuring him too of unequivocal support and continued solidarity from his kith and kin at all times.
In his response, Hon. Ibiam who was visibly excited for the visit, promised to do his best to justify the huge confidence reposed in him by the good people of the Council Area.
He called on his kith and kin to unite for good works and progress of Unwana Community and Afikpo North in general, noting that any Community where peace, love and harmony reign supreme will achieve unprecedented prosperity and greatness.
The Council Boss used the opportunity too to thank all Community Leaders and critical Stakeholders in Afikpo North Local Government Area for the atmosphere of peace being witnessed in the nooks and crannies of the Area and urged them to sustain the tempo for meaningful development to thrive.
The visit was cemented with a prayer from the oldest Man in the village who showered blessings on their Son and prayed for God's Wisdom, Guidance and Protection on him.
