Speaking during the visit to the village chairman, Chief Emeka Ogbonnia, Mazi Damian Okafor said, the essence of the visit was to lend the voice of Ohanaeze youth to the genuine call for equity in the governorship seat of the state, urging the chairman and his people to support the power rotation arrangement in the state, stressing that if it is religiously adhered to, will guarantee peace, equity and political stability in the state.
Mazi Damian Okafor Praised the Community Chairman and the Youths for their resolve to develop the community and above all, maintaining peaceful atmosphere in the community.
He Charged them not to derail from the power rotation formula that has been enshrined in the minds of Ebonyians, but rather work hard to sustain it for the betterment of the state.
In a response, the community chairman Chief Emeka Ogbonnia, lauded the Governor for changing the narratives of Ebonyi State. The peace He restored in all nooks and crannies of Ebonyi, the infrastructural facelifts and the general good governance that is being experienced in Ebonyi State.
He stated further, "based on the equity, justice and fairness that has being in place in Ebonyi State, we, the good people of Ihietutu Community are wholly supporting power shift to Ebonyi North and as such, we will massively vote for Rt. Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru as their sole Governorship Candidate come 2023 general election", he concluded.
