Ebonyi state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha has reiterated his resolve to continue to partner with the media in the advancement of democracy, good governance and even Development in the state.
Chief Stanley Emegha stated this shortly after receiving an award for excellence in leadership, peace building and societal Development.
He revealed that media has played pivotal role in his political journey and career.
The Ebonyi APC Boss appreciated the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ), people's Guide Newspaper chapel for the honor done and pledged his unflinching support for the media organization.
"I must thank and appreciate you so much for this honor.
I can't take it for granted. I must continue to strengthen that good working synergy that have existed between us. We will continue sustain that long standing understanding and cooperation between us even after we exit from office. I really appreciate this honor and I say, thank you very much".
Earlier, the publisher and Chief Executive Officer, people's Guide Newspaper and Peace media Nigeria Ltd, Mr Israel Ekene Mbam, said that the awardees were carefully selected based on their valid contributions peace building and societal Development in their various field of endeavors and congratulated chief Stanley Okoro Emegha for making the list.
He recounted the long standing cordial relationship with Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha and his office, assuring him that his media outfit will continue to provide a veritable platform for balanced and objective reportage and will continue to give positive projections to the activities of his office.
He lauded his excellent and friendly disposition to the media, stressing that such attributes has placed him above his equals in the state.
Recall that Nigeria Union of Journalist NUJ People's Guide Newspaper chapel and Peace Media Nigeria Ltd, on Thursday, held a one -day media discourse and achievers award 2022, with the theme; "Media, Security and 2023 election; Issues and prospects", where notable personalities were honoured for their outstanding contributions to peace building and societal Development, held at Women Development Center, Ezza road, Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital.
