Notwithstanding that a candidate with the greatest political influence can easily win an election in a democratic setting, Good Lobby says "that the beauty of democracy is that an average, random, unremarkable citizen can also lead". At least, within 24 years of uninterrupted democratic experience in Nigeria, elections have always reflected the established opinions.
These reasons have continued to inform the choice of candidates by sensitive political parties to easily sweep the votes of the people during general elections.
Consequently, as the factors that determined the outcome of the first lap of the 2023 General elections run through the mind of every patriotic citizen, Ebonyi people will always be judged fairly by posterity because they have come to the full knowledge of the political arithmetic in this political milieu, Nigeria.
In the Election where His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of APC clinched the seat of the president, Ebonyi people made a significant contribution to the success story as the three senators-elect and three houses of representatives elect in the state also emerged from the APC.
The administration of the Governor, His Excellency, Engr Chief David Nweze Umahi has proven to be acceptable in the whole federation.
Therefore, as the governorship and state assembly elections approach, Ebonyi people who are the beneficiaries of the sterling achievements of our God-given Governor and quintessential leader, Chief Dr David Nweze Umahi will no doubt cast their ballots for the APC.
The people of Ebonyi State should vote for reliable and credible APC governorship candidate, Right Honourable Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, who will run an administration based on the principle of a charter of people's needs where critical sectors of the economy; education, water, security, health and agriculture will receive the desired attention in the overall interest of the masses.
Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru will supersede the developmental trajectory of the present administration led by Governor David Nweze Umahi and also correct his perceived lapses to put more smiles on the faces of the people irrespective of party affiliations among other differences.
The man whom the cap fits, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has the leadership understanding which he accumulated over a decade under some seasoned administrators and technocrats such as Former governor Martins Elechi and the current Governor David Nweze Umahi.
It is not contestable that the Governor in the waiting and currently National Vice Chairman, South East, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru spearheaded the most peaceful State House of Assembly for almost eight years making people's oriented laws which smoothened the wheel of governance, thereby creating a conducive environment for Governor Umahi to turn Ebonyi State to a beautiful state.
The number one state legislator and APC Governorship standard bearer in Ebonyi State, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru through his earnings executed several infrastructural projects such as grading of roads and installation of street lights, offering scholarships for the indigent students and also assisting the needy across the state.
The APC Governorship candidate should be supported not just because Ebonyi state upholds the principle of equity, Justice and fair play where power rotation is the main focus but he should be given a chance to saddle the ship of governance because he will definitely deliver.
Ebonyi people, the time to store up treasures for everyone and generations unborn is now. A vote for APC Governorship standard bearer and the twenty-four House of Assembly members to be will be a true definition of a state where the people can pride themselves in as being their own.
A vote for APC is an investment worth the while. In one accord again, let's cast the ballot for the party which has a proven track record, integrity and honesty in the prudent management of lean resources and absolute respect for the sanctity of life.
APC has kept the faith. Let's vote for Right Honourable Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and all the candidates of APC on March 11th, 2023 and enjoy more dividends of democracy.
