Candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, Mr Ifeanyi Nwakpu has defeated the incumbent member and former Chief Whip of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Mr Humphrey Nwuruku, a two-time member of the House and the people's Democratic party PDP, candidate in the 2023 state Assembly elections.
Nwakpu's Victory came after this Saturday's re-run that took place in seven polling units across Ikwo North Constituency of Ikwo Local Government Area.
