The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi state, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha has reiterated the determination of Governor Francis Nwifuru to promptly address the yearnings and aspirations of the people of the state by making life more meaningful to all.
In a message marking the 2023 Democracy Day, Chief Emegha noted that the celebration marks a great turning point in the history of the state as it was preceded by the election of a democrat and the people's Governor, Chief Nwifuru who is resolute and tenacious in promoting the tenets of democracy.
Espousing some of the achievements of the present administration in the state which include lifting the ban on employment to recruit 195 health workers barely two weeks in office, the APC Chairman said Governor Francis Nwifuru was that nexus that will bridge the lacuna between the haves and have-nots.
The message he personally signed read thus;
"From every indication, we are celebrating the true meaning of democracy which is government of the people, by the people and for the people. The state government's action in less than two weeks has shown Ebonyi people that everyone's need is a priority that must receive the deserved attention. The government will be fair to both the rich and the poor".
"May I humbly use this rare privilege to appreciate His Excellency, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru who has shown capacity and leadership at every front. The appointments he has so far made have been described by many as square pegs in square holes".
"Lifting the ban on employment to recruit 195 health works less than two weeks after assumption of office is a clear indication that Governor Nwifuru values the lives of the people more than others things. It shows he understood that democracy is about putting the interests of the people first".
"The people can't be less proud of him. It is a new dawn in Ebonyi, and we should all support the governor in his calculated zeal to deliver gains of democracy to all. I thank the governor for starting well and also Ebonyi people for believing in his ability hence the corresponding support to steer our affairs".
