Ebonyi Governor's Wife Tasks Workers On Diligence To Duty

The Wife of the Ebonyi State Governor, Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudline Ogbonna Nwifuru has advised workers in her office to be more diligent in discharge of their duties. 

Chief Mrs. Nwifuru stated this during a one-day in House Protocol training organised for staff of her office to enhance their skills for professional delivery, held at government house, centenary city, Abakaliki. 

She charged them to be committed to doing better at their various departments which will improve their personal and collective productivity, 

She called on protocol, security personnel, drivers, media, among other departments in her office to show commitment to achieve the  set goals. 

According to her" As we settle down to begin work as a team in this administration, I urge us to be committed to doing better, improve our personal and collective productivity after this training”.

"I will use people who are productive and reliable that will provide administrative assistance and geared  towards achieving the mandate of this new administration”.

Earlier in an introductory speech, Dr Nkechi Emma-Echiegu appreciated Her Excellency for organizing such training for her staff as it has not been done before. She also charged all staff to be very attentive in order to get good information after the training 

In her lecture, Mrs Nancy Agha, a Resource Person,  and Lecturer at Ebonyi State University, described the various units as team builders. She stressed that the training was expected to define various job roles of staff for better performances. 

Another Resource Person, Prof Uzoma Okoye a Lecturer at the University of Nigeria Nsukka called on staff to develop positive attitude towards work-related tasks. She urged them to prevent negative attitude that would reflect in the job and duties. 

The Special Assistant on Media to the Governor's Wife Mrs Divinegift Okata Nwali who Spoke on behalf the participants, appreciated, Her Excellency Chief Mrs. Uzoamaka Mary-Maudline Ogbonna Nwifuru for organising the event and also thank all the resource persons. She pledged that staff would deepen commitments to their duties. 

The exercise, featured lectures on job description, building and optimising team relationship to achieve success.
