Called on the opposition parties, the people's Democratic party PDP and All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA and their candidates in the March 23rd gubernatorial election in the state, Dr Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii and Prof Ben Odoh not to appeal the tribunal judgement delivered in favour the state Governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, describing the victory of Governor as an act of God and booster to democracy in the state and Nigeria at large.
Anyigor who is the South East Director of Asiwaju Grassroot Foundation, AGF Project Beyond 2023, observed this in his congratulatory message to Governor Nwifuru yesterday after his victory at the Ebonyi State Tribunal sitting in Abuja.
The APC chieftain also described Nwifuru as a pragmatic and dogged Leader, noting that "his milestone and overwhelming victory at the Ebonyi State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja on Wednesday 27th September 2023, remains a booster to our democracy."
Comrade Anyigor, who is seeking the mandate of the people of Ebonyi South Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC, further said: "Nwifuru's victory at the tribunal has shown that God sincerely loves Ebonyi citizens, who came massively at their various polling booths on Saturday 18th March 2023 to vote you into his present office.
"Thereon, the good people of Ebonyi State in their intimidating numbers demonstrated their joy over your irresistible victory at the polls during your inauguration at Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium on 29th May 2023 as the fourth Executive Governor of Ebonyi State.
"Truly, the Lordships in their tribunal judgement have done marvellously well by showing a high sense of courage, transparency and responsibility to nurture the seed of emancipation, and the overall development plan the Ebonyi people planted through their massive votes to you to become our leader.
"I enjoin lovers of democracy and exemplary leadership, to advise opposition parties to stop further litigations against our God-chosen leader as the People's Governor in Ebonyi State Nigeria today, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, because his victory is a victory for democracy. It is a victory for equity, fairness and justice in Ebonyi State, the Salt of the Nation," the Senatorial Aspirant declared.
"Your Excellency, be rest assured that your victory is well-deserved and indestructible and it is for all Ebonyi citizens, who have shown their unflinching support and assurance during the tribunal interval.
"Sir, as you continue to deliver your incredible agenda, "The People's Charter of Needs," to the Ebonyi people, may God strengthen, protect and provide you with all the enablement to signpost your leadership dispositions.
