Anyigor, the Southeast Director of Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation, AGF Project Beyond 2023 described President Tinubu's victory at the apex court in Nigeria as a well-deserved one.
It could be recalled that some opposition parties including the People's Democratic Party, Labour Party and their 2023 presidential candidates had gone to the Supreme Court to further challenge the victory of Tinubu on the February 25 poll, which was earlier affirmed by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
However, the apex court in delivering its judgement later reaffirmed Tinubu's victory in the last general election.
Consequently, Anyigor commended the Supreme Court's 7-man Panel led by Justice Okoro for having unanimously dismissed the petitions against Tinubu's election for lack of merit yesterday.
He said the victory of President Tinubu, signifies that Nigerians overwhelmingly voted for you during the 2023 Presidential election based on his track records and excellent performances as former national leader of APC.
"President Tinubu's excellent leadership style as the former governor of Lagos State is another testament that facilitated his victory during the 2023 general election," he observed.
He further expressed confidence that Tinubu's legacies in his previous offices would be doubled while rendering service to the nation.
