Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, has described as a monumental loss, the sudden death of the Clerk of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Mrs Patricia Anasi.
In a Press Release by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Monday Uzor, The Governor said late , Patricia Anasi concentrated her energy and grit on public service which led to evident productivity and steady progress of the the State Assembly.
Governor Nwifuru said with the exit of the late Clerk, the State Assembly and Ebonyi State have lost an apostle of due process and good governance.
“When I presided over the Assembly as Speaker, I had robust working relationship with her. Her keen intellect and tireless efforts was largely instrumental to the success we recorded . She was a good team player who never compromised quality. She was like a mother to us that is why I consider her death as devastating and an irreparable loss not only to the immediate family but to those of us who came across her while she lived.
He said late Mrs Anasi was a well groomed technocrat whose wealth of experience will be greatly missed by the state and humanity.
The Governor while commiserating with the family of the late Clerk encouraged them to see the development as the will of God and strive to bear the loss with candor.
“As a government we can never forget her meritorious services, therefore I encourage the offsprings to take consolation in the
life of honour your late mother lived and exert efforts to sustain her enduring legacies”.
The Governor prays for the repose of the soul of the late Clerk.
