Alleged Fraud: Tinubu Sack Four Top Govt Officials

President Bola Tinubu has approved the suspension of Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad, the Managing Director/CEO of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) and three Executive Directors of the agency over alleged fraudulent activities.

The suspension takes immediate effect.

President Tinubu has directed thorough investigation into the actions of the four top government officials who are suspected of engaging in fraudulent spending totaling more than N1.2 billion in the last two years.

The three Executive Directors of the Agency:

(1) Olaniyi Alaba Netufo — Executive Director, Corporate Services

(2) Barka Sajou — Executive Director, Technical Services

(3) Sa’adatu Balgore — Executive Director, Rural Electrification Fund (REF)
