Hon. ThankGod Sinbad Oboke is a genius created by God for a special purpose and is evidence of humanitarian service and community development. His appointment and swearing-in as the substantive Coordinator of Ikwo Central Development Centre was greeted with fanfare by the people of Ikwo Noyo Clan and beyond. This is because of his philanthropic gestures, antecedents, leadership experience, unwavering passion for transformation, and developmental strides.
The previous positions held in the past such as Councilor, Inyimagu Ward 1, Management Committee Member, Ikwo Central Development Centre, and Liaison Officer to the former Governor, his track records and leadership endeared him to the hearts of many. It's therefore not surprising that within the 100 days in office as the Ikwo Central Development Centre Coordinator, he has set a roadmap for transformation in the Development Centre in the realization of the Governor's mantra, The People's Charter of Needs.
Within the 100 days in office, Hon Sinbad Oboke has recorded tremendous success stories which have continued to attract commendations within and outside the shores of Ikwo Central Development Centre.
For record purposes, below are some of his achievements:
1. Construction of Ngele Udeja Bridge at Amuda, Igbudu Community
2. Construction of Ngele Egu Okpuru at Effiemgbabu Inyimagu
3. Procurement of materials for the construction of Ogba Bridge at Uduku Igbudu
4. Surveying of the designated places to drill hand pump boreholes across all the villages in Ikwo Central Development Centre.
5. Repaired one of the abandoned Boreholes along Igboji -Ibiam Road
6. Offsets the hospital bills of some indigent persons of the Development Centre
7. Fostered peace and harmony within the development centre.
On efforts to curb youth restiveness,Hon. ThankGod Oboke Sinbad embarked on various type of youth Empowerments, ranging from direct cash to skill acquisition. Today,Many indigent students within his jurisdiction are on the list of his scholarship scheme. He also placed welfare of the Staff of the Development Centre and his aides on the top priority.
All these are efforts to address the needs of the people of Ikwo Central Development Centre and provide them the dividends of democracy anchored on the People's Charter of Needs.
As we celebrate the landmark achievements of this genius and great philanthropist of our time, within the 100 days in office, let's continue to support him in his relentless effort to step down the policies and programs of the Ebonyi State Government under the leadership of our pragmatic Governor and in-law, His Excellency, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
