Council Polls: Ikwo Stakeholders Join Council Boss To Pick Second Term Nomination Form

Today May 14th, 2024, Ikwo Noyo Clan witnessed a historic moment as Hon. Barr. Sunday Basil Nwankwo, the Executive Chairman of Ikwo LGA, accompanied by esteemed stakeholders, formally declared his interest in seeking a second term in office. This he did with the official purchase of his nomination form to contest APC Primaries for the 20th July 2023 Council election in Ebonyi State.

The Council Boss who was at the State APC secretariat Abakaliki in company of his supporters promised to consolidate on the successes recorded so far in his administration.

The event showcased a remarkable display of unity and consensus among the leaders of Ikwo Noyo clan who in their numbers endorsed the second term bid of Barr. Sunday Basil Nwankwo.

Notable figures present at the official declaration and purchase of nomination form included the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa, Chief Okeagu Ogada, Amb. Chief Frankline Ogbuewu, Chief Nnana Elechi, and Chief Okey Oreke, among others. 

The Speaker Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa conveyed a vote of confidence on behalf of Ikwo Noyo stakeholders, affirming their unwavering support for Hon. Barr. Nwankwo's bid for reelection.

In an interview with the press, Hon. Barr. Nwankwo expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from his fellow Ikwo indigenes, especially the stakeholders. He outlined his vision for his second term to include consolidation of his legacy mantra, emphasizing the implementation of initiatives aimed at addressing the community's needs comprehensively.
