The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, in Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha said, APC is not in enmity with other political parties in the state, stressing that his party is preoccupied with those things that can aid the Governor in delivering the dividends of democracy and fulfilling his manifesto of people's charter of needs to the people of the state.
Emegha disclosed this on a radio program monitored in Abakaliki, Friday morning.
The state APC Chairman acknowledged with satisfaction the monumental achievements of the state Governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru in one year of his administration . Emegha added that the Governor's one year in office has witnessed all round development both human and infrastructure due to the peaceful Political environment and tolerance existing in the state.
He noted that the influx of members of other Political Parties Into APC was as a result of practical and all-inclusive leadership the governor has displayed and called for more support to his administration.
The state APC Chairman stated further that he is at peace with the state turning into one party state as such will bring unity, peace and development and
eliminate the acrimony and crises usually witnessed during the election period.
"We are not against other political parties in the state. Infact, most of their members are my friends. I visits them asking them to join our party and you can see, most of them have already joined us and more are coming.
"Our concern is to create a peaceful Political environment for our Governor to keep on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
"Our leader, the state Governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has performed one hundred percent well in his one year of leadership in the state and that's why other leaders of the state are joining APC and supporting his administration.
"I urge every Ebonyians to support him. Even if worth having one Political party in the state, let it be, because it will help minimizing Political acrimony and crises usually witnessed during election".
On the forth coming local Government election in the state, Emegha said that his party is prepared for the contest and enjoined other parties to join the race, noting that the contest is an open one.
On the high cost of nomination form, the Chairman apologize and assured that in the next election, Women will be given forms free of charge.
