While delivering the form to Barr. Ugba in his Umuahia residence, Mr Chidindu Kalu, said it is their belief that Isibumba stands out as the round peg that will fit the round hole in the leadership of the party, which is what the youths have been clamouring for.
He said the era of imposing leaders on the party is gone and that the party must ensure transparency and should be intential about the personality and character of whoever that will emerge as the Chairman of the party.
They expressed their belief that Chief Kalu Ugba will unite the party, make it stronger, more attractive and return it back to power in 2027.
In his acceptance speech, Chief Ugba thanked them for their vision and support for his candidacy and stated that the Party at this time needs a strong character with vision and mission in order to rebuild and turn around the electoral fortunes of the party.
He assured them that he won't let them down and that when he becomes the Chairman, he will make sure that the party gets back the governorship of the state.
In his speech Honourable Augustine Akomas said "the youths having scrutinized the credentials of all the candidates and found out that Isibumba checked all the boxes, interms of integtity, competence and capacity, we are assured that he will rescue and rebuild the party, he promised that the youths will deploy all the resources at their disposal to ensure he comes out victorious.
He called on the party to ensure transparency and openness in the exercise and warned that the Youths will resist any attempt to impose a leader on the party.
